With travel back in our lives and many of us busting to take a trip somewhere, you might be looking for inspiration for your next big adventure. For me at least, I was itching to get on a plane as soon as travel was back on the cards and so when the opportunity presented itself to visit Thailand, I jumped at the chance. To celebrate the opening of the new Four Seasons Bangkok, I travelled with the Four Seasons to visit their incredible properties across the country. So if you’re wondering which Four Seasons hotels and resorts are worth visiting in Thailand, I’m about to spill the beans!
Four Seasons Bangkok (at Chao Phraya River)
Most visitors to Thailand will land in Bangkok, so we’ll start here. As the capital city and Thailand’s international hub, it is no surprise Bangkok is the first destination for many travellers to the country. However as someone who lives in a city, I decided to finish my trip in Bangkok and opt for immediate relaxation and poolside mimosas first. But no matter which way you look at it, it will make sense to visit Bangkok either first or last on your journey.
Bangkok is one of the most visited cities in the world, often topping the list. And as someone who has visited almost a decade ago and only just now made my return,
Four Seasons Koh Samui
It’s easy to think straight to the islands of Thailand when you picture yourself visiting, as the country certainly has no shortage of the world’s best islands to visit. And if you ask me, Koh Samui is the cream of the crop. And to that end, the Four Seasons Koh Samui is one of the most celebrated hotels in the country – so be sure to expect the best when you book a stay here!
Each of the ocean facing suites features its very own private pool, oversized bath tub and sweeping views across the Gulf of Thailand. But it was the hidden garden spa that really stole the show for me, with one of the best massages of my life being the most memorable moments from my stay.
Four Seasons Golden Triangle
For me, the Four Seasons Golden Triangle is the most special hotel in the collection. Imagine yourself in an oversized canvas tent, tucked away in the hills overlooking Myanmar and Laos. The hotel feels as if it has been picked up from the depths of an African safari location and placed in the mystical Thai jungle, so be prepared for one of the most incredible stays of your life. Oh, and did I mention local elephants make their way to breakfast to join you each morning?
Four Seasons Chiang Mai
Lastly, the Four Seasons Chiang Mai is located exactly where the name suggests, in the increasingly popular Chiang Mai. This part of Northern Thailand is becoming a more and more popular stop for visitors in Thailand, so if you are looking for somewhere extra special and slightly less catered solely to tourists, this is a great choice. The resort is located a short 30 minutes drive from the main city, so be sure to plan your stay with enough time to enjoy the city at least one or two days, with another day or two to relax poolside in the ricefields.
